Jake and his team did an incredible job correcting a water leak I had with my sewage pipe that exits my basement wall. He and his team are very friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are very reasonable and I for sure will call them in the future with any other excavation needs. They also moved the dirt I no longer needed from this dig as we were back filling with 57 gravel to my neighbors house at no cost.

shambre did an amazing job on my retaining wall. very very honest with pricing and even gave me $500 back because he got too many stones on accident. would 100% recommend

Jake was very hard working and professional. I placed an emergency call in early may due to my tank collapsing and Jake responded right away even on a Sunday. He was out the next day to review the situation and give me a quote. My yard retains a lot of water and due to rain we had to continue to push the job reschedule. Jake did a great job of staying in contact with me and planning out the best we could so that I could get this taken care of. He did a great job performing the work and kept me informed while doing so. He found that my inlet pipe also had holes in it and we replaced the same day as the septic. 10/10 would recommend Jake for any excavating needs you have.

I had Shambre Excavating & Hardscapes continue the gravel mow strip around my house and backyard last summer, and they did an excellent job just like the first time. Jake is a responsive professional, direct in his communication and attentive to pleasing the client.

I was so thrilled with the experience of working with Jake and his team! Jake came and did the initial assessment in person and sent a detailed quote very quickly. I live in a historic neighborhood, and I was applying for a local Landmarks loan, so there was a lot of paperwork that took forever to get approved; Jake was very patient and supportive through the whole thing, keeping me on his project list and providing construction information whenever I needed it for yet another form. Once work got underway, he and his team worked quickly but carefully to take care of removing all of the old cement and then re-poured my sidewalk and steps. They also redid my porch structure, replacing the old, rotting boards with a gray composite our city historical committee approved, and the railings and columns with beautiful vinyl choices in keeping with the house period. The porch support structure had to be reconfigured for modern spacing/code; I was really pleased that the team reused the old structural boards that were in good shape wherever they could, which was a cost savings and avoided unnecessary waste. They were also careful to replicate the old herringbone pattern at the corner of the porch - taking it out all the way under the posts! - which made the historical committee very happy. They installed two beautiful railings on the re-poured steps which will be very helpful for my older family members. Even the new porch railings had little posts along the bottom to create better support and prevent sagging over the years. There were several "discoveries" along the way as the project went on, thanks to the house being 130+ years old, but Jake rolled with the challenges, coming up with creative solutions that didn't deeply impact my budget - it was amazing! Jake is *very* responsive to questions and concerns. The team at my house - Daniel and Johnny - were very friendly and did beautiful work. And, Kendra who does the billing was extremely pleasant and easy to work with, answering questions quickly and clearly. The whole job period seemed very rapid to me: I could see clear, impressive progress at the end of each day. I know Jake was hoping to get done and out of my hair a couple of days sooner than the project finished, but I appreciated that his desire to do things *right* always won over the goal of being fast. Several friends and one of my next door neighbors have already asked for contact information so they can have Sambre Landscape out to do projects for them, too.

We had an old railroad tie retaining wall and steps replaced with block (and lights). Jake also created a beautiful sidewalk that extended from the retaining wall to the back deck. Clean up was great too. Jake had excellent ideas and the work is outstanding. We will use his services again for the next project. Strong work ethic and excellent communication. Highly recommend.
